Used Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Corona

Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to move things and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.

To prevent loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated with care. Equipment must be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully to be able to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.

On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to be able to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be at the center to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Gradually stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
