Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Often, these models are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These models are available in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is necessary prior to operating boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to require a lot more man power to be completed in a much shorter time period. These machines have really increased productivity and have changed the material handling business.
