The telescopic lift truck would normally have a prolonged lift that utilizes a crane or arm to come over top of a truck. This particular type of forklift would enable you to lift cargo higher and with greater control. This extra control is because of the fact that you are moving the load on the crane's end, that is referred to as a telescopic boom.
The cargo could also move both towards and away from the forklift cab too and this different feature is something which basic lift trucks are unable to do. The telescopic forklifts are able to offer both height and versatility. The telescopic lift truck is super popular within the agricultural and construction businesses. In addition, they are an excellent choice in situations where you might have to work with something which needs more control that a regular lift truck.
Frame Tilt
A unique feature common to telehandlers is the frame tilt. Operators can activate the lateral controls in order to move the frame's angle from side to side. This frame can be moved 10 to 15 degrees in either direction from horizontal. There is a liquid filled tube that is curved and mounted within the cab. This is the level indicator or frame tilt indicator and works similar to a carpenter's level. It has a bubble indicator which indicates the frame's lateral angle relative to the ground. This is an extremely handy device which is used to ensure the frame is level before elevating the boom in rough setting.
Steering
Rear wheel steering is offered on several telehandler units, which is like a vertical mast type unit. Most unit's offer 3 steering options which the operator can select; crab, circle and front steering. For example, if the operator chooses the "front" steering option, only the front wheels of the machinery would react to the steering wheel's movement.
