It is important that the forklift driver not be prone to reckless driving or rage of any sort.
Training
Forklift training is usually done on the job. Training would normally include safety and control training, which can be completed in various ways. These may include testing, videos and lectures. A performance test will also be conducted on the forklift. When the tests have been successfully completed, a license can be issued. This license should be renewed according to state and provincial laws and according to shop procedures. If you get the chance to complete your lift truck training on the job, it is a great idea and it is another skill you can include in your resume.
