Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machinery as they lift and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of cargo over extended distances within manufacturing applications and warehouses. They are highly fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to lift and transport tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for an inexpensive way of transporting cargo from one place to another. If though, you must move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right alternative.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece machine designed specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the operator and the load in an effort to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are normally very narrow aisle vehicles that can function in aisles of less than six feet. They are really handy pieces of equipment in cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
